Terms of purchase
In force from 14 October 2026.
1. Seller
Roni Luokkamäki, Helsinki, Finland.
Email: roni.luokkamaki@gmail.com
Works are sold by a private individual, not by a registered business. The provisions of the Finnish Consumer Protection Act concerning distance selling by a trader therefore do not apply. The sale is governed by the Finnish Sale of Goods Act (kauppalaki) between two private parties.
2. Works and prices
Every work offered is an original, one-off piece, sold in the condition shown and described on this site. Photographs are taken as accurately as possible, but colour may vary between screens.
Prices are shown in euros. As the seller is a private individual and not liable for value added tax, prices contain no VAT and no VAT is stated on receipts. Where a price is not shown, it is given on request before any order is confirmed.
3. Forming an order
An order is made by email. A binding sale is formed only once the seller has confirmed by email that the work is available and has stated the final price and the delivery cost. Availability is not guaranteed before that confirmation, as each work exists only once.
4. Payment
Payment is agreed with each order, usually by MobilePay or bank transfer. Payment details are sent in writing once the work has been reserved. The work is dispatched or released for collection once payment has cleared in full.
5. Delivery and transfer of risk
Works are delivered either by collection in person in Helsinki by arrangement, or by carrier within Finland using Matkahuolto or UPS, from 15 EUR depending on the carrier and on the size and weight of the piece. The exact delivery cost is confirmed before payment.
Risk passes to the buyer when the work is handed over to the buyer in person, or when it is handed over to the carrier. Any damage in transit must be reported by email within 14 days of delivery, together with photographs of the work and its packaging, so that a claim can be made with the carrier and a resolution arranged.
6. Returns and cancellation
Works are hand-made, one-off pieces and carry no exchange or return right. Because the seller is a private individual, there is no statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, which applies to distance selling by traders.
This does not limit the buyer's rights under the Sale of Goods Act where a work is materially different from how it was described at the time of sale. Any such claim should be raised by email without undue delay.
7. Copyright
Copyright in every work remains with the artist and is not transferred with the sale. Buying a work conveys ownership of the physical piece only. The work may not be reproduced, published, or used commercially without the artist's written permission. The artist retains the right to photograph works and to use those images for documentation and exhibition purposes.
8. Personal data
Information given in connection with an order, such as name, email address and delivery address, is used only to handle that order and any matter arising from it. It is not disclosed to third parties, except to the carrier as required to deliver the work, and it is not used for marketing. This site sets no cookies and collects no analytics.
9. Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes are settled primarily by negotiation between the parties. If no agreement is reached, the matter may be taken to the District Court of Helsinki.
As the sale is between two private individuals, the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariitalautakunta) is not available for these disputes, as it handles disputes between consumers and traders.
